    Catalytic combustion technology
    The research status and basic technological characteristics of the adsorption concentrating and incineration technology of zeolite wheel are introduced, and a new technology of zeolite converter concentrating and catalytic combustion of volatile organic compounds is introduced. The characteristics and key points of the technology are pointed out, and the development direction of the technology is also pointed out.
    VOCs are of various types, complex compositions and different properties. In many cases, it is difficult to achieve the treatment requirements and is not economical to adopt a purification technology. Taking advantage of the advantages of different unit treatment technology and adopting combined treatment technology, not only the discharge requirements can be met, but also the operation cost of purification equipment can be reduced. Therefore, in the treatment of organic waste gas, two or more purification technologies have been developed rapidly. The technology of zeolite concentrating is a new technology developed for the treatment of low concentration VOCs. It is combined with catalytic combustion or high temperature incineration, forming the technology of adsorption concentration and incineration of zeolite wheel.
    Present situation of technical research
    Honeycomb wheel adsorption + catalytic combustion technology is an organic waste gas treatment system invented by Japan in 1970s. The adsorption device is a honeycomb wheel assembled from corrugated board made of molecular sieve, activated carbon fiber or carbon containing material. The flow of adsorption and desorption gas is opposite, and the two processes are carried out simultaneously. This system was introduced and copied in China at the beginning of 1980s, but the adsorption and desorption gas channeling problem is not fundamentally solved because of the adsorption element (honeycomb wheel) and the key parts connection technology of the system. The equipment performance is not stable, so the domestic application is less, and it has not been popularized.


    Fixed bed adsorption + catalytic combustion treatment system was developed in the end of 1980s. The system is to fill the adsorbent material in a fixed bed, and then combine the adsorption bed with the catalytic combustion device to form a purification treatment system. The principle of the process system is basically the same as that of the honeycomb wheel adsorption + catalytic combustion technology, but because the adsorption and regeneration process of the single piece adsorption bed is carried out separately, it overcomes the shortcoming of the suction and desorption of the honeycomb wheel cleaning system. Through continuous improvement, the system configuration is more reasonable, the purification efficiency is high, the operation energy-saving effect is remarkable, and the technology has reached the international advanced level. This process system is very suitable for treating VOCs waste gas with low concentration and atmospheric volume. The waste gas treatment capacity of a single system can range from thousands of m3/h to hundreds of thousands of m3/h. This technology is the real independent innovation of VOCs waste gas treatment technology in China. It has been popularized in China for the first time in 1989, and hundreds of systems and devices have been used at the present time. It has become one of the mainstream products of domestic industrial VOCs waste gas treatment, and is expected to have great application prospects in the future.
    Catalytic combustion has been widely used in automotive spraying, tape manufacturing and aircraft parts spraying. Catalytic combustion technology can fully burn off a large number of organic solvents. The catalyst is used as a porous ceramic carrier catalyst. The preheating temperature of the catalyst is different from that of VOCs. The polyurethane is 380 C to 480 C, the polyester imide is 480 to 580 C, the concentration of organic matter is about 1600mg/m3, and the purification efficiency is 99%.
    A new process of concentrating and catalytic combustion of a runner
    1 technology is aimed at the problems of large equipment investment, high operating cost and low removal efficiency, which exist in the treatment of VOCs pollutants with low concentration and large air volume. The domestic enterprises have developed a high efficiency and safe processing technology for treating low VOCs concentration and large air volume industrial waste gas. The basic idea of this method is to separate and concentrate the VOCs in the industrial waste gas of low concentration and large air volume by adsorption separation method, and to decompose and purify the polluted air with high concentration and small air concentration after concentration, which is known as adsorption separation and concentration + combustion decomposition purification. An adsorbent wheel with a honeycomb structure is installed in a shell divided into three regions of adsorption, regeneration, and cooling, which is slowly turned at a speed of 3~8 rotation per hour under the drive of a speed motor. The three zones of adsorption, regeneration and cooling are respectively connected with treated air, cooling air and regeneration air duct. In addition, in order to prevent the air leakage between the various regions and the air leakage between the circumference of the adsorbent wheel and the shell, there is a high temperature resistant and solvent resistant fluoro rubber sealing material between the separator plate and the adsorbent wheel, the circumference of the adsorbent wheel and the shell. The polluted air containing VOCs is sent from the blower to the adsorption area of the adsorbent wheel. The polluted air is adsorbed by the adsorbent and the air is purified when the VOCs is adsorbed by the adsorbent. With the rotation of the adsorbent wheel, the adsorption wheel near the adsorption saturation enters the regeneration area. In the process of contact with the high temperature regenerated air, VOCs is removed into the regenerated air and the adsorbent wheel is regenerated. After cooling in the cooling zone, the regenerated adsorption runner returns to the adsorption zone to complete the adsorption / desorption / cooling cycle. Because the air volume of the regenerated air in this process is usually only 1/10, the concentration of VOCs in the air of the regeneration process is concentrated to 10 times the concentration in the air. Therefore, the process is also called the process of VOCs concentration removal.
    The process of wheel adsorption thickening and catalytic combustion is shown below.
    No. 1 fan drives VOCs-containing exhaust gas through the runner area a, which is the adsorption area. Different adsorption materials can be filled in the runner according to different targets. The a region of VOCs adsorbed on the B region was desorbed as the runner rotated. The VOCs adsorbed on the runner are desorbed by the high-temperature gas flow through heat transfer 1, and the VOCs are ignited by heat transfer 2, and then enter the catalysis.
