    VOC waste gas is a kind of VOC waste gas. The control technology of VOC waste gas treatment includes combustion, photocatalysis, activated carbon adsorption, absorption, condensation, biological treatment and so on. There are many treatment techniques for the treatment of VOC waste gas. The following will introduce several commonly used VOC waste gas treatment technology: 1. Adsorption method using some adsorptive materials such as activated carbon, silica gel, zeolite molecular sieve, activated alumina and other porous materials to adsorb harmful components to achieve the purpose of eliminating harmful pollution. Microporous and mesoporous materials have been widely used in the adsorption process. However, some of the most common shortcomings of porous materials (such as activated carbon, silica gel and molecular sieve) encountered in practice, such as low adsorption capacity, flammability, and other problems related to regeneration. Therefore, people have been focusing on the adsorption capacity, fast reaction kinetics and high reversibility of new porous materials. The advantages of adsorption method are high removal efficiency, low energy consumption, mature process and solvent recovery after desorption. The disadvantage is that the equipment is huge, the process is complex, the operation cost after investment is higher and secondary pollution occurs, when there are colloidal particles or other impurities in the exhaust gas, adsorbent is easy to poison. The adsorption effect of adsorption method mainly depends on the nature of adsorbent, the species of gas pollutants and the technological conditions of adsorption system (such as operating temperature, humidity and other factors), so the key problem of adsorption method lies in the selection of adsorbent. Adsorbent should have dense porous structure, large internal surface area, good adsorption performance, chemical stability, acid and alkali resistance, water resistance, high temperature and pressure resistance, not easy to break, small resistance to air. The commonly used adsorbents are activated carbon (granular and fibrous), activated alumina, silica gel, artificial zeolite and so on. The integrated technology of adsorption and other purification methods

    has been widely applied in many industries. For example, liquid adsorption and activated carbon adsorption are used to treat high concentration styrene waste gas, and adsorption and catalytic combustion are used to treat acetone waste gas. The combination of adsorption and other purification methods not only avoids the disadvantages of the two methods, but also has the characteristics of high adsorption efficiency and no secondary pollution. 2. Solvent absorption method uses liquid solvent as absorbent to absorb harmful components in exhaust gas by liquid, so as to achieve the purpose of purification. The absorption process is based on the principle of similar solubility of organic matter. Diesel oil and kerosene with higher boiling point and lower vapor pressure are often used as solvents to transfer VOC from gas phase to liquid phase. Then the absorbent was desorbed to recover VOC and the solvent was regenerated. This method can not only eliminate gaseous pollutants, but also recover some useful substances. It can be used to treat VOC with gas flow rate of 3000 ~ 150000 m3 / h and concentration of 0.05% ~ 0.5% (volume fraction). The removal rate can reach 95% ~ 98%. The advantage of this method is that it is effective and low cost in treating large volume, ambient temperature and low concentration organic waste gas, and can transform pollutants into useful products. However, the solvent absorption method still has shortcomings. Because of the large investment in the post-treatment of absorbents and the large selectivity to organic components, it is prone to two times of pollution. Therefore, when dealing with VOC, it is necessary to choose different solvents to absorb separately, which greatly increases the cost and technical complexity. In addition, the solubility of organic matter in absorbent, the concentration of organic waste gas, the structure of absorber, such as packed tower, spray tower, liquid-gas ratio, temperature and other operating parameters are the factors affecting the absorption method, any change will more or less affect the effectiveness of the absorption method. 3. Thermal destruction method is divided into direct combustion method, catalytic combustion method and concentrated combustion method. Its destruction mechanism is oxidation, thermal cracking and thermal decomposition, thus achieving the purpose of controlling VOCs. Thermal destructive method is suitable for small air volume, high concentration of gas treatment, for continuous discharge of gas occasions, the use of equipment is simple, less investment, easy operation, less floor space, in addition to the recovery and utilization of heat energy, gas purification thoroughly. Because the thermal destructive method is catalytic combustion, so the required ignition temperature is low, most of the organic matter and CO can complete the reaction at 200 ~ 400 degrees centigrade, so the auxiliary fuel consumption is low, and a large number of nitrides are reduced, suitable for many occasions. However, the thermal damage method has the danger of burning and explosion, the heat burning needs to consume the fuel, and the solvent can not be recovered. In the thermal catalytic oxidation process, it is not allowed to contain dust particles and droplets which affect the catalyst life and treatment efficiency, and no substances poisoning the catalyst to prevent the catalyst from poisoning. 4. The application of biological treatment technology in the purification of organic waste gas is a new technology in recent years. Common biological processes include biofiltration, biotrickling, biological washing, membrane bioreactor and rotary biofilter reactor. Biofilm is a biodegradable process that utilizes the metabolic process of microorganisms to biodegrade a variety of organic and inorganic substances to produce CO2 and H2O, thereby effectively removing pollutants from industrial waste gases. The method has the advantages of simple equipment, low cost of operation and maintenance, no two pollution and so on. However, the removal efficiency of VOC is poor, the volume is large and the residence time is long. Different fillers have different effects on the degradation of organic waste gas.
